Prior to founding our Company, Mr. Lu established Asia-based operations for Medical Division of Gould Inc., specialized in surgical and critical care catheters and instruments. He held various senior positions with Gould before advancing to the position of President of the Asia-Pacific division. In 1986, Mr. Lu participated in a management-led leveraged buyout of the division from Gould. He continued as President of the Asia-Pacific division through 1988 when it was sold to British Oxygen Corporation. He then served as President-Asia Pacific with British Oxygen until 1990. In 1990, Mr. Lu also founded Sun Instruments-Japan, Sunscope International in California and Biosensors International in Singapore, all of which are now subsidiaries of Biosensors International Group Ltd.

Mr. Lu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Arizona.

From 2006 until he joined Biosensors, Mr. Kleine was President and Chief Executive Officer of MicroVention Inc., a subsidiary of Terumo Corporation. MicroVention is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of minimally invasive products for the treatment for cerebral and vascular peripheral diseases. Previous to this he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Thermo Cardiosystems, Inc., which focused on cardiac surgery devices and successfully merged with Thoratec. Mr. Kleine also held positions as Chief Executive Officer of Sorin Biomedical Inc. and President of Bird Medical Technologies.

Prior to joining Biosensors, Mr. Chua was the Managing Director of Walden International Singapore Pte Ltd from 2003 to 2006, where he was responsible for the US-headquartered venture capital firm’s investment activities in the South Asia market. He also served in various senior executive roles at several Singapore-listed companies, including Deputy President of NatSteel Ltd., an industrial products company active in Asia Pacific, President and Chief Executive Officer of Intraco Ltd, a trading and distribution company, and President & Co-Founder of MediaRing.com, a company providing voice-over-internet services. He also serves as a director of Logitech International S.A.

Mr. Chua holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Dr. Huggler has many years of business experience in Europe, the United States and Asia, including five years with a mining and metal smelting company in India and two years in the U.S. and Canada. He established and developed several international companies: Velcro Industries, the inventor of the adhesive fastener, in the U.S. and Japan; NIFCO, the largest manufacturer of industrial plastics products centered on industrial fasteners in Japan; and a number of investment companies: International BM Biomedicine Holding in Basle, Samurai Portfolio, a Swiss investment fund investing in Japan and Formosa Growth Fund, one of the first international investment funds in Taiwan. From 1978 to 1991, he was President of Interallianz Bank AG, Zurich, a private bank he established jointly with Swiss and Japanese corporations including Toyota, Toshiba, Kajima and YKK.

Dr. Huggler studied at the Ecole de Droit in Paris and Zurich University where he earned a doctorate in law, followed by postgraduate studies at the Centre d’Etudes Industrielles in Geneva.

Mr.Leong was appointed Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Mexico in 2006; and was appointed a member of the Securities Industry Council in 2008. He has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, having served in the Singapore government’s Administrative Service in the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Trade & Industry. He has worked in various industries such as corporate finance, venture capital, merchant banking, real estate, hotels and food and beverage. Mr. Leong was a Member of Parliament for 22 years, from 1984 to 2006.

Mr. Leong holds a degree (Honors) in Production Engineering from Loughborough University, UK; a degree (Honors) in Economics from London University, UK; and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Previously, Mr. Low headed the Corporate Finance Departments in the Singapore law firms, Drew & Napier and Harry Elias Partnership. Mr. Low started his working career with the Singapore Public Works Department, Morgan Grenfell (Asia) Limited and the Singapore Economic Development Board heading the Aerospace, Medical Optical Division.

He is a director of a number of public and private companies, including Ferrochina Limited, SHC Capital Ltd, Tat Hong Holdings Ltd and Jurong International Holdings Pte Ltd.

Mr. Low holds a Masters in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore, a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Monash University, Australia.

Mr. Wan is a founding partner of Three Arch Partners. He started in venture capital in 1987 with Brentwood Associates, where he became a General Partner. Mr. Wan has been a founder or seed investor in numerous healthcare companies including Epocrates, Odyssey Healthcare and Perclose.

Mr. Wan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Yale University. He graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Wan also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
