Senior Management

From 2006 until he joined Biosensors, Mr. Kleine was President and Chief Executive Officer of MicroVention Inc., a subsidiary of Terumo Corporation. MicroVention is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of minimally invasive products for the treatment for cerebral and vascular peripheral diseases. Previous to this he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Thermo Cardiosystems, Inc., which focused on cardiac surgery devices and successfully merged with Thoratec. Mr. Kleine also held positions as Chief Executive Officer of Sorin Biomedical Inc. and President of Bird Medical Technologies.

Prior to joining Biosensors, Mr. Sayer spent several years working as an independent healthcare and medical technology industry consultant, focusing primarily on strategic planning and business development activities. From 2004 to 2005, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Specialty Laboratories, Inc., a NYSE-listed company offering clinical reference laboratory services. Prior to his consulting experience and his experience with Specialty Laboratories, Inc., Mr. Sayer served as the Chief Financial Officer of MiniMed Inc. from 1994 to 2001, when it was acquired by Medtronic, Inc. Subsequent to the acquisition, Mr. Sayer remained with Medtronic, Inc. as a Vice President and General Manager of a business unit within Medtronic Diabetes.

Mr. Sayer received his certificate as a certified public accountant in 1986.

Prior to joining Biosensors, Dr. Wang had served as Manager in new product development for Johnson & Johnson (Cordis) and as Project Group Leader in stent delivery systems for Guidant Corporation. Dr. Wang has been granted more than 20 US and European patents in medical devices and technology and has published more than 30 scientific papers on polymer materials and processing.

Dr. Wang received his doctorate in polymer science from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Master Degree in Science in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam and Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing.

Mr. Shulze is respected in the industry for his in-depth knowledge of drug-eluting stent technology and is often invited to speak at major medical congresses worldwide on the subject of drug-eluting stents. Mr. Shulze is the primary architect of the Company’s BioMatrix™ and BioFreedom™ drug-eluting stent systems. Previously, Mr. Shulze has held numerous managerial positions in a number of technology-leading medical device companies, including Spectratec Inc., a producer of blood-gas sensors; Bird Products Corporation, a producer of critical care ventilators; Albion Instruments, a producer of laser-based anaesthesia respiratory gas monitoring systems; Spacelabs, a surgery and critical care monitoring system company; Gould Medical, Inc., a surgery and critical care catheters and instrumentation company; and GE Medical Systems.

Mr. Shulze received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin. He is also a graduate of General Electric’s Manufacturing Management and Physiology and Bioengineering Courses.

During her tenure as Biosensors’ Legal Counsel, Ms. Krasney has acted as the lead counsel for Biosensors on most major transactions that the Company has entered into, including transactions with Guidant, Terumo, Xtent and Devax. Prior to joining Biosensors, she spent her career serving as General Counsel for numerous corporations and private business clients engaged in a wide variety of industries, giving her an extensive background and vast experience in corporate and business law as well as litigation.

Ms. Krasney received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Los Angeles and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California.

Mr. Jump serves as our Managing Director BESA as well as Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing with responsibility for sales, sales-support and product management for Europe, Middle East, Africa, India North and South America markets and global marketing function. Mr. Jump joined as President of our subsidiary Occam International B.V. in The Netherlands and soon after Managing Director – Europe, Middle East and Africa with responsibility for all distribution functions in those regions. Mr. Jump has over 27 years experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Biosensors, Mr. Jump served as CEO of Xitact Medical Simulation which was acquired by Mentice. He has served as a Board Member with several start-up medical device companies, and currently is on the board of Anecova SA. He also served as Vice President – International and Managing Director – Europe, with Embol-X Inc. and Alliance Medical Technologies and in various senior management positions with Cardio thoracic Systems (CTS), Haemonetics S.A. and Pfizer Hosp Products Group including Shiley.

Mr. Jump received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, a Graduate degree in Research from the University of South Australia and a Master’s degree (MSc) from the London Business School.

Prior to joining Biosensors, Mr. Loh was with the Singapore government and was responsible for identifying and developing medical device technology companies worldwide through investments and management. Mr. Loh joined us as the Head of Corporate Business Development before serving as Managing Director of our Singapore operations. In November 2004, Mr. Loh was promoted to his present position as Senior Vice President.

Mr. Loh received an honors degree in Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Medical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Helsinki School of Economics.  Mr. Loh also received a Graduate diploma in Financial Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.
